Inter director in England to complete Onana deal with Manchester United

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is reportedly in England to complete André Onana’s sale to Manchester United. The Cameroonian keeper has been linked with a switch to the Premier League in recent weeks, and reports indicate a transfer is close to being completed.

Il Corriere della Sera report that United are prepared to pay €50 million for Onana and Ausilio is in London to potentially complete the transfer for the goalkeeper. The funds from Onana’s sale are expected to be reinvested directly into the summer transfer market, allowing them to secure Romelu Lukaku for another season, as well as sign Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri are reportedly prepared to sell the keeper, but have hopes of raising United’s offer to €60 million, given that coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on ensuring that United reunite him with his former Ajax goalkeeper.

Inter are looking to find a cheap option to replace Onana, and have already identified Yann Sommer and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili as potential targets.
