how’s it going guys first night out on
the town here in Ho Chi Men City pretty
full of life here just everybody is out
having a good time first going to start
off the night with a bit of food let’s
go so just finished an amazing meal here
at a place called Jaoza jaoza yeah
indian restaurant here very interesting
all of the weight staff were all from
India pretty authentic now first I do
some Mexican food here in Vietnam and
then I do Indian definitely I got to get
my Vietnamese food going on here but
really nice in Ho Chi Min City just to
find really the same thing I would in
most western countries which is just
authentic delicious food from different
cultures and so uh fun to try places
like this over here that were really
really good
all right i guess this is what a bit of
bargaining looks like over here these
guys are bargaining how much it’s going
to cost where they going to go all right
i think this guy wants to get involved
as well anyhow for me I’m going to go to
what’s called Bentan Market now I’m
probably pronouncing that wrong if you
guys know how to pronounce that better
don’t judge me let me show you what it
looks like from the
outside all right we got the gate here
got to make sure the bad guys don’t come

we’re not going to go to Benthan Market
tonight going to have to figure out
where in the world to go next let me get

sec so I got to say I’m a little bit
surprised how early some things closed
down here especially when there’s so
many people driving around so let me
show you guys what it looks like
here there’s always a lot of cars out
but not really much traffic
so still a lot of street vendors open
everywhere around
here but some of the bigger
attractions just seem like they’re
closed
down hello
It’s a lot of nice parks and everything
over
here so I don’t know what’s going on
here maybe some kind of
Vietnamese band or something going on
but they were shooting a video dancing
over here before taking a bit of break
but who knows if any of you guys know
who they are let me know all right so I

raised here natively Vietnamese for 23
years already amazing 23 so super young
guy what is life like here like daytoday
what do you do here well to us it’s a
normal night you know we just walk
around yeah yeah minding our own
business and then sometime we got a good
feel like oh we we should pull over and
have some good time like live lower a
little bit you know this kind of thing i
get it i get it very cool so what do you
guys think like I see a lot of tourists
around here how do you guys feel about
foreigners coming over to the Vietnam
hanging out i feel good actually i feel
good yeah you got more like you know
like diversity you know like you got
more flavor in the bowl yes that’s a
good way to put it so yeah actually Ho
Chi Men’s like amazing amazing place to
me uh just so much diversity a lot of
amazing food here what would you say is
two or three of your favorite things
about Vietnam
girls all right
that was predictable girls okay and
girls all right all right so guys you
could tell men are the same all around
the world
yeah so man awesome to meet you yeah

it so great people over here in Vietnam
super friendly and uh great place to be
so I got a EIM over here it’s called SY
and I saw it like advertised everywhere
so I thought h I’ll get this in advance
but anytime I try to use this thing over
here to just try to get reception it
kind of sucks so sometimes it works and
sometimes it just kind of makes it hard
to to get a little bit of reception so I
wanted to go to something called
Starlight Bridge looks pretty amazing at
night but got to keep walking till I
could get some signal somewhere here in
the meantime I’ll keep watching these
skaters keeping me entertained i think
it’s like a hangout spot for kids it’s
just like open you know kind of like I
don’t know i wouldn’t even call it a
parking lot i don’t know what it is so
kids just hanging out here on their
bikes and
skateboarding oh boy we got more dancing
again
guys police the police
so I don’t know why everywhere I’ve been
today has either been photo shoots or
video shoots keeps things
entertaining so it looks like everything
just got shut down there’s a couple of
Vietnamese police officers i’m guessing
police officers maybe military guys that
came up and everybody just like
dispersed in a second so I guess they
didn’t have a permit or something like
that wasn’t allowed here i don’t know if
you’re from over here let me know what
might have happened so who knows maybe
when these guys leave they will uh start
dancing again

dance team that’s cool so what happened
there with uh Are you not allowed to
dance in public yeah because it’s
special day so we can allow to

okay what if it’s not a holiday then is
it okay uh yeah another another day is
okay to me or studying i’ve been meeting
some people in Vietnam can speak English
good some not so good how did you learn
how to speak English yeah I just learn
by theme or uh the the song you know
yeah just learn by by myself ah very
cool well it’s good to meet you what was
your name uh my name is Lona nice to
meet you i am John nice to meet you too
okay take care oh thank you okay so it
was very cool of her to be willing to be
on camera i know people here are a
little bit shy to talk to strange men in
the middle of the street but yeah it’s
good to kind of get the background of
that because you just don’t know when
you’re in new country like is it illegal
for them to you know dance or something
like that in public or what else is
going on but just sounds like it wasn’t
a big deal it was just maybe a holiday
or something going on over here that I
don’t know about and that was the only
reason why they weren’t able to do that
so the police seemed super cool they
just kind of were like "Hey guys you got
to break it up." And uh you know they
went on kind of just standing on the
sidelines probably to make sure that
they didn’t keep dancing again and the
rest of the guys just kind of looks like
they’re all going to go home
place called Highlands Coffee they seem
like they’re everywhere i don’t know if
they’re like the Starbucks of Vietnam or
something it feels like that cuz they’re
just everywhere this really cracked me
up i saw some words in uh Vietnamese and
it looks like it spelled coffee and so
I’m using my Google Translate you could
just use this thing where it’ll take a
photo of the words in Vietnamese or
whatever language you want and then
it’ll translate them into English so I
put it over this just to confirm but it
seems like they’re almost like
phonetically kind of spelling out coffee
in their own language here you
go it’s a little bit It’s a little bit
like in the Philippines the way they
spell coffee very similar so anyhow I
had to come in here buy something just
to get a bit of free Wi-Fi because I
couldn’t get my Eim working out here
even though I’m like in the heart of Ho
Chi Men City bought a little something
got some free Wi-Fi in here and now I
could put the details back in grab and
take me over to uh Starlight Bridge now
hopefully it’s still open let’s go
see not a big beer guy but seems like
there’s some craft brewy places around
here
so second bus for the night tried to go
to Starlight Bridge supposed to be an
amazing but uh when I got there it’s
like all the lights were out and it was
like a ghost town so went too late so it
is just about 10:30 it is a week night
over here so there’s a million people
out but it just seems like some places
close early especially maybe more the
popular tourist places but you know
where I am is is uh still a lot of
people out eating and drinking and all
the rest had a great experience with the
Grab taxi driver i had no data for the
reason I was talking about before with
the ski that just kind of sucks over
here and so I wasn’t able to book a Grab
and get back again so the driver said
"I’ll take you back you know I’ll just
charge you the same amount." So just
super honest you never know in big
cities sometimes you don’t get lucky but
just a super honest uh taxi driver and
actually charged me a little bit less
than uh you know what it cost on the way
over here so I just gave him a nice tip
anyhow I am going to walk back to my
hotel i asked him to just drop me off a
little bit earlier to get some more
steps in for the day but anyhow guys
