– Hey everybody. This is Randy Santel Atlas, and I am very very excited tonight. I’m going for my third and final win in the city of Hanoi, Vietnam, before we head to Taipei and Taiwan tomorrow. I am back at New York Sports Bar. This time I’m taking on their Vietnamese Bánh Bao Challenge.
I did their Vietnamese Pho Challenge with those spring rolls last night. Well, tonight, I’ve got 20 minutes to finish 12 of their Bánh Bao, which are basically steamed buns filled with a pork mince. And I think there’s some egg and some healthy vegetables,
But, yeah, each one is about 150 grams, so all 12 of these is about 1.8 kilos, or about four pounds, so yeah, I’ve got 20 minutes to finish. If I fail, it’s gonna be 500,000 Vietnamese Dong, which is around $20 to $22. If I win, I’m going to get the meal free.
I’ll get another sweet t-shirt, and I’ll get my name and photo, again, added to the wall of fame. Let’s get this challenge started. All right, time to get win number two of the day. Did great this morning for lunch at that Chops Juicy Lucy Burger Challenge, so, woo, going to Taiwan tomorrow, let’s dominate, gonna shut up and eat. Only 20 minutes to finish all of these. So, let’s do it. One, two, three, boom!
There’s paper on these. I do not want to eat that. Delicious. Trying to stay well ahead of a one per minute pace as long as I can. Some of these even have two eggs in them, but the filling is amazing. Six left. Oh, so many carbs. Four more to go, we are eight minutes and 24 seconds in. We’re right at 10 minutes in, half way through the time limit, we’ve got 10 minutes left to finish these three. I can do it. Trying to beat 15 minutes. I was worried about this one. Dominate. I was worried about that one because of all the carbs, and, woo, had to eat it as quickly as I could before they all cooled down. But, I’m the first person to finish and win, so it’s the new record, 14 minutes and 42 seconds. – 14 minutes. – Yes. Great time.
I had 20, and I got the 500,000 Vietnamese Dong meal for free, which, as I said, is around $20 to $22 US dollars. I am going to get another sweet t-shirt to add to my collection, and I’ll get again, my name and photo added up on the wall of fame here
